| I gathered the pictures above on polyvore.com and created a collage to showcase the three most prominent animal print designs of the Lanvin Pre-Fall 2013 Collection. http://www.polyvore.com/pre-fall_2013_lanvin_wild_side/template?id=477026 |
To even
think about what’s going to be trending for Pre-Fall 2013, sounds a little
crazy, but it’s out there already! In my daily issue of WWD, the cover story
for January 3rd was titled, “WILD SIDE”. According to Alber Elbaz, designer
of the house of Lanvin, described his Pre-Fall collection to be “A mix of
wildness and classics.” The way he portrays his collections is by layering
textures, fabrics and prints, featuring artisanal seams and darts to graphic
effect on several of the looks. He believes that all women will want to have
this style for this season. This look can be pieced together with, “scads
of costume jewelry with a floppy chapeaux in pony hair”, according to style.com. Alber constructs his collection carefully and pays attention to detail.
An early trending tip: is that animal print will possibly become the “NEW NEUTRAL” for fall
2013. So be on the lookout for intricate animal print pieces to add to you fall
wardrobe!

I totally love this collection. It reminds me of Roberto Cavalli who is so much into the animal prints.
ReplyDeleteI'm very much into prints myself. Looking at this collection makes me want to go out and shop for my Wild Side lol.
DeleteIt's always interesting to see that prints come back. It's hard to believe that prints aren't considered a classic fashion trend like the little black dress. For he past two or three fall/winter seasons prints have been in as well as during the summer of 2012.
ReplyDeleteI like that Elbaz (Lanvin designer) described his Pre-Fashion Collection to "be a mix of Wildness & Classics". I believe that prints although wild, are apart of the worlds, "Classic" fashion pieces when it comes to clothing (with the little black dress).
