The store was open on Sunday, October 16th for the Malvern Harvest Festival! I was there bright and early to help out. It was so much fun. Kiss and Makeup had live mannequins in the windows that were modeling beautiful dresses made by students at the Art Institute and outrageous makeup. I finally got to meet the other interns and they were all so nice. I helped assist with the make up being done by cleaning brushes and helping get the products they needed.
When the festival started, I stood outside and handed out coupons and talked to people who were coming to the store. People were really fascinated by the models and some people didn't know they were real!
We had a live band come play outside the store which brought a lot of attention. I got to dance and try to attract more people to show up so I had a lot of fun. The lady who ran the festival said the band was too loud and distracting but they kept playing anyway because they were really good.
The event was a huge success!

I love the live mannequins, it is such a clever idea. I also liked how they decided to show students work as their displays.
